History	A NERF Blaster added in-game as part of partnership of Hasbro and Roblox since April 13th, 2021.

The Nerf Ray an exclusive tertiary weapon added in the May 27th, 2021 update. It is available in the Police Base, Warehouse Criminal Base, and Gun Shop, although it is only obtainable once the player has redeemed the unique, single-use code attached to the real-life Plasma Ray Nerf gun via the toy code redemption page on the Roblox website.

It fires green glowing projectiles that make explode in a small radius on making contact with any surface or player. These projectiles, despite being explosive, still deal bonus damage on headshots.

Trivia

• The Nerf Gun itself was revealed along with Hasbro's collaboration with Roblox on April 13th, 2021.
• The real-life Nerf Gun appears to have been based on the Death Ray.
• The Nerf Ray is one of the many weapons changed in Chapter 2. Previously, it was an automatic that rapidly fired red lasers that dealt 6 damage each. It could fire 30 times before needing to be reloaded, allowing for a maximum of 180 damage per clip.
• The in-game model for the gun is identical to the avatar item granted by redeeming a code.
  • The description of the avatar item reads "The city’s yours. Emits high-powered, rapid- fire laser beams when equipped in Mad City. Get this exclusive item by redeeming the code from the official Roblox x Nerf blaster."
    • On the release of Chapter 2, the Nerf Ray's in-game function was changed, making the description for the avatar item inaccurate.
