The M249 deals 6-12 base damage, and 9-18 headshot damage. It features a medium fire rate with a magazine size of 75, making it have the highest magazine size out of all non-special weapons in the game. The accuracy of the M249 is relatively poor and could potentially lead players into close death encounters, especially with its very slow reload time.
The M249 has 123 DPS (Damage Per Second) if body damage, and 186 DPS if headshots.
