Season 2 was the second season of Mad City Chapter 2. It started on December 23rd, 2022 and ended on December 22nd, 2023. It lasted for a total of 364 days.

Season 2 (Chapter 2) Map[]

The map of Season 2 (Chapter 2) was originally the Season 1 (Chapter 2) map, but it was destroyed and changed as a result of the May 4th, 2023 live event.

Changes[]

Update One: December 23rd, 2022

  • Season 2 launches with a winter with 20 new rewards. The Odyssey and Edge Runner have been added.
  • The Christmas Event is launched with a new crates system. The Comet and Thunderbolt have been added.
  • Hood ornaments have been added as a new customization feature.

Update Two: December 24th, 2022

  • The chances of getting a specific crates are increased. Finding random crates and buying crates with Robux count towards a guaranteed legendary

Update Three: January 7th, 2023

  • Search bar and vehicles are listed alphabetically in spawn app.
  • A crates app has also been added.

Update Four: January 20th, 2023

  • Two community made vehicles have been added, the Streetfighter and Missile which can both be located the Theme Park entrance.
    • Community made rims and spoilers are also added.

Update Five: February 3rd, 2023

  • The legacy prison from Season 6 makes a return.
  • The Chaos has been added, being located at the top of the Volcano.

Update Six: February 17th, 2023

  • The Incinerator, Revolter, and One Off have been added.
  • The Incinerator can be located at the Military Base, and both the Revolter and One Off can be located at the Theme Park entrance.
  • Changes to Rhino and Marauder.
  • Shotgun jumping and Riot Shield have been added back.
  • Tanks can be spawned via phone again.

Update Seven: March 3rd, 2023

  • The Luminar and Finalist have been added, the Luminar can be located at the parking lot behind the Night Club. The Finalist on the other hand, can be located at a parking lot nearby to the mall.
  • Six new rims and a new ornament have been added.

Update Eight: March 4th, 2023

  • Changes to Taser, how criminals are arrested with bounties, plane physics and players in combat while being in a heist.
  • The Stingray has been removed due to specific reasons.

Update Nine: March 17th, 2023

  • Weapons now cost in-game cash, only four remain to be free. The WA2000, Tommy Gun, M1014, and M249 have been added. There’s new balance to weapons.
  • Gun Shop has been renovated.
  • Changes to the heists cooldown.
  • Animated skins have been readded.
  • St. Patrick themed items have been added until March 31st.
  • Bug/Performance fixes.

Update Ten: March 31st, 2023

  • New downing and door system.
  • The Vector has been added, which can be found at the Gun Shop.
  • Server count has been increased to 36.

Update Eleven: April 3rd, 2023

  • Race tracks have been added. Exclusive to VIP servers

Update Twelve: April 7th, 2023

Update Thirteen: April 27th, 2023

  • The Easter Event has now ended, the rewards are no longer obtainable.
    • The Easter map however hasn't been removed.

Update Fourteen: May 3rd, 2023

  • An unidentified egg object has landed nearby to the Prison. A countdown was also added alongside it, ending on Friday.
    • Six notes can also be found around the map, all written by someone who calls themselves "The Observer".
    • Note 1/6: "I cannot explain the strange events I have witnessed in space. As an observer, I had the privilege of watching the cosmos unfold before my eyes. However, what I saw will haunt me for the rest of my life..."
    • Note 2/6: "As I was observing a distant galaxy, I noticed a peculiar object entering this planets atmosphere. At first, I thought it was a meteor, but as it got closer, I could see that it was something entirely different..."
    • Note 3/6: "It was shaped like a giant egg, black as night, with strange markings etched into its surface. As the object descended, I saw a figure emerge from the shadows, dressed in an elaborate suit, with a sinister grin on its face..."
    • Note 4/6: "It seemed to be controlling the objects descent, guiding it towards its intended target. I watched in horror as the object crashed onto the planet below..."
    • Note 5/6: "Afterwards, the figure disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving no trace of its origin or its intentions. I cannot fathom what kind of evil force could be behind such a heinous act..."
    • Note 6/6: "All I know is we are not alone in this universe, and there are forces out there that we cannot even begin to comprehend. Yours sincerely - The Observer"
  • The ? Hero podium has been replaced with a "Remove Powers" option, however it doesn't properly work.

Update Fifteen: May 4th, 2023

Update Sixteen: May 16th, 2023

  • An meteor-like unidentified ship was sought to crash towards the Area 51.

Update Seventeen: May 20th and 22nd, 2023

  • The alien ship from the last update was crashed inside the Area 51.
  • Two inoperable SWAT vans and a Police NPC, who visited the ship crash site, become confused by the unknown purple aura. Interacting them with a dialogue:

"Hey...what's....what's happening? I...I can't...argh! No, stay back! I don't...I don't know what's going on... Stay away from here!"

  • A fracture of the sky can be seen by going near Area 51.
  • An expansion happening near the Pyramid with newer structures (i.e. ancient houses and monoliths) are built in the area.
    • Some houses in Sandy Shore were being sunk and buried under the sand.
    • The area was also got a purple spell.
  • Notes are posted in a bulletin board in front of the Military Base every day.

"Incident Report #001

Date: May 20th
Location: Military Base

An unidentified flying object (UFO) has been detected in the vicinity of the military base. The object is of unknown origin and appears to be of a highly advanced technological design. Preliminary analysis suggests it may be capable of interstellar travel. Further investigation is ongoing.

Date: May 22nd
Location: Military Base

The previously spotted UFO appears to have made a crash landing within the confines of the military base. No immediate signs of life detected. The area has been cordoned off for a detailed examination of the vehicle.

Update Eighteen: May 23rd, 2023
  • More inoperable SWAT vans (special skin on Police, plain white for "Specialist") and Camaros are visible inside Area 51, as more police forces "Specialists" investigating the crash site,
  • Three inoperable Tractors can been seen inside the Area 51 entrance near the Port.
  • The fracture is unnoticeable become larger.
  • Two new notes posted:

Date: May 21st
Location: Military Base

Initial attempts to enter the UFO have been unsuccessful. The structure appears to be sealed with an unknown technology. Specialists have been brought in to safely gain access to the interior of the object.

Unusual energy readings have been detected emanating from the UFO. Precautions have been heightened in case of an unexpected power surge or potential activation of the vehicle's systems."

Update Nineteen: May 24th, 2023
  • The ship is glowing pink, and the interior is no longer visible.
  • Polices' SWATs and Camaros are blocking the entrance of Military Base.
  • Tractors are moved near the Death Ray room and going near the heart of Area 51.
  • The rift is now glowing blue and pink during nighttime in-game.

Update Twenty: May 25th, 2023

  • An unknown personnel NPC with a Chris P. Bacon pin can be seen on the crash site. Interacting them with a dialogue:

"Construction will begin shortly. You need to leave the area now as it is being overseen by an organization outside of the city's jurisdiction."

  • More Chris P. Bacon specialists' vehicles (white SWAT vans) can be seen inside the Area 51.
  • The Concerned Police Officer NPC who got unconscious while patrolling the area was move outside the Area 51, under the Mad City sign at Cityside County.
  • Other white SWAT vans were out of Area 51.
  • Final note was posted in the bulletin board:

Date: May 25th
Location: Military Base

An anonymous benefactor has provided funding for the reconstruction and upgrade of the military base and will begin reconstruction in the coming days. The amount, while undisclosed, is substantial and will allow for significant improvements and enhancements to the current infrastructure. The purpose behind this donation remains unclear, though it seems to be directly related to the recent UFO incident. The benefactor has also brought their own personnel to oversee the military base reconstruction. Our units have been recalled from the scene until further notice.

Update Twenty-One: May 26th, 2023
  • The reconstruction of Area 51 is now started.
    • The crashed alien ship was removed, and replaced by Tractors digging the crash site.
    • The Hyper Glider was move inside the tunnel of Area 51 that houses the Light Bike and Halo.
    • Several construction workers NPCs with purple aura on their head was added, along with other Chris P. Bacon personnel. Interacting them, telling the players to leave the area.
  • The desert area where the Pyramid is slowly expanding, as taking over the Sandy Shores.
  • The Concerned Police Officer NPC was removed, but his [inoperable] Camaro still park on the same location from the last update.

Update Twenty-Two: May 29th, 2023

  • Mysterious signs have added into Area 51.
  • The Officer’s helmet is near their car
  • The police force is totally removed from Area 51.

10:28AM -Construction workers seen removing a strange object from the crash site.

12:45AM -Personnel seen inspecting the site. One agent seen handing off an item to one of the workers. What significance does this item possess?

3:46PM -Strange noise emits from the fracture in the sky!

6:26PM -Construction workers seen removing cargo crate from the site. It seemed to have the same insignia that the personnel have on their stuits.

"I've discovered that the ship has been moved to a secret location, I feel that there is more to that ship than meets the eye."

Update Twenty-Three : May 30th, 2023
  • Gold bars and a mysterious circular structure have been added into Area 51.
  • Meteors had been spotted near the giant fracture.
  • Three scientists have been added in the watchtower near Casino. All three have a dialogue.
    • Scientist 1:

      "I've been monitoring it closely. The meteor shower will be spectacular. Don't worry though, the atmosphere should shield us."

    • Scientist 2:

      "Hey, have you checked the celestial forecast? There's an exciting meteror shower approaching!"

    • Scientist 3:

      "It's going to be a visual treat for all. The meteors will burn up in our atmosphere, creating a stunning display of shooting stars."

  • Crates with Chris P. Bacon have been added in the base and the Death Ray tunnel.
  • A second note has been added near the Detective

Location: Military Base
9:27AM -More shipment crates with the same insignia spotted coming into the site

1:27PM -Construction workers started construction on a new building within the confines on the site.

4:14PM -Large sums of gold coins have been dropped off at the site. What could these be used for?

7:53PM -Meteors seen entering our atmosphere. I wonder if these have anything to do with the current events going on?"

Update Twenty-Four: May 31st, 2023
  • Walls at Area 51 have become taller. The circular monument is more built.
  • The Warehouse Criminal Base has construction outside of it. Three construction worker NPCs have been added with a dialogue:
    • Worker #1:

      "The city issued us a build order to renew and expand this old warehouse. Can't wait to get it done!"

    • Worker #2:

      "It's a good day for construction, don't you think?"

    • Worker #3:

      "The expansion is really coming together! What do you think friend?"

  • The Mint Bank has been added back. The Bank will have either variation at random.
  • A new NPC has been added near the Hotel.

    "I was taken by the personnel at the military base. When I was escaping, I caught a quick glimpse of a mysterious device that was being constructed."

  • The three scientists at the watchtower have new dialogue.
    • Scientist #1:

      "You're right, I didn't notice it before. There's a weird purple color."

    • Scientist #2:

      "I've never seen anything like it. We'll have to report our findings to the Scientific Council."

    • Scientist #3:

      "Wait, something's off about those meteors."

  • The Detective has a new dialogue:

    "The pace of construction onsite has accelerated. What could possibly be so important?"

  • New note added near the detective

1:15PM -More progress has been made to the building they're working on

2:34PM -Reports of a disturbed man running into the city. I will follow up on that later.

8:58PM -Construction workers finished part of the new military base walls. I wonder why they're trying to get that wall built so quickly?

Update Twenty-Five: June 1st, 2023
  • Construction at Warehouse Criminal Base expanded.
  • The meteors seem to be heading towards the city.
  • A new garage is at the Port with a green truck carrying a bomb.
  • Area 51 walls have been expanded.
  • Five construction workers near the circular structure have been infected.
    • They all say "I am but a vessel, bound by a puppeteer's will, and you shall not thwart his grand design."
  • The Detective has a new dialogue: "All of the construction workers seem to be speaking in unison, it's almost like they all are thinking the exact same thing at the same time."
  • Three police officers NPCs have been added near the Jewelry Store.
    • Officer #1: "Now that you mention it, it feels like I've been seeing multiple of the same person lately."
    • Officer #2: "Wait a minute, this city has seen a lot more people as of lately. This isn't normal."
    • Officer #3: "Hmm... you're right. I wonder where all these people are coming from."
  • The scientists at the watchtower have new dialogue
    • Scientist #1: "Hmm... it seems like the meteors are changing trajectory... something isn't right."
    • Scientist #2: "This has to be a scientific breakthrough! We need to report our findings as soon as possible!"
    • Scientist #3: "This is definitely a breakthrough, but I think we need to wait and see what's going on with those meteors."
  • The confused officer has a new dialogue: "I don't know what they were making, but if we don't find out quickly, I fear the worst will happen!"
  • Agent Smith has been added at Area 51. He says "*Radio static* The building is nearing completion sir... Yes, we have the construction workers working at full speed... Yes sir... Understood sir. *Radio static*"
  • Note 4 has been added:

Location: Military Base
9:46AM -Trucks carrying material seen headed to the military base.

12:28PM -The building they've been working on seems to be nearing completion. What could they be using this for?

3:18PM -Further progression on the military wall has been made. They are building this wall at an alarmingly fast pace.

6:59PM -Construction workers showing signs of having a hive mind. Is something or someone controlling them against their will?"

Update Twenty-Six: June 2nd, 2023

  • Chris P. Bacon logo appears on the carved signages in Area 51.
  • Trucks appear in the base and the excavators leave.
  • The truck in the new garage is near an Area 51 entrance.
  • The circular building’s construction is complete.
  • Four smaller rifts are added near the big one.
  • There is a duplicate object in the Death Ray Bunker.
  • The officers near the Jewelry store docks are gone.
  • Criminal Base construction continues to progress.
  • The Casino has heist objects in the lobby that gives 3,700.
  • Nitro has been changed. It will refill by itself slowly.
  • The detective has a new dialogue: "Something doesn't feel right... The benefactor, the base, the meteors, the cracks in the sky... it's all connected. I'm just missing one last piece of the puzzle."
  • PiggyCorp agent NPCs have been re-added into Area 51 with new dialogue
    • Agents #1 and #3:"..."
    • Agent Smith:"It has been our pleasure to server you Mr. Bacon ... We will see to it that your plan unfolds without flaw."
  • The scientists at the watchtower have new dialogue
    • Scientist #1:"It seems like... no, it couldn't have. What's going on?"
    • Scientist #2:"Hm... but what could've caused such a strange event..?"
    • Scientist #3: "The rifts in the sky...The influx of people... This isn't normal."
  • The confused officer has a new dialogue:"Do you hear that??? I can hear him, he wont get out of my head! He's coming, we have to leave before its too late!"
  • The construction officers at Area 51 are fully infected and have new dialogue
    • Worker #1:"Please...help...us..."
    • Worker #2-#5:"Time is almost upon us. Once the device arrives my plan will be put into action. Your service has been appreciated Agent Smith."
  • Only one construction worker at the Criminal Base has a new dialogue
    • Worker #1:"Construction is wrapping up soon! This has been great to work on!"

11:22AM -Construction workers seemed to of finished the fortified military walls.

2:15PM -A truck with a strange object can be seen making its way towards the military base.

4:55PM -New signs of someone resembling a pig has been put up all over the military base… is this the anonymous benefactor that paid for the reconstruction? It's like the base was made to become his fortress…

7:32PM -The rift in the sky has cracked and expanded. I have also received reports of people spotting rifts appearing within the city." will?"

Update Twenty-Six: June 5th, 2023

  • The Criminal Base construction continues.
  • The hangars of O66-Terminator and Rhino have a new look.
  • The ramp has been added back and the truck is near Death Ray Bunker.
  • The first construction worker is gone. The other four have new dialogue
    • Workers #2-#5:"Ah, it's you... I'm surprised you're still alive. I hope you know that whatever your plan to do to stop me wont work... Just... like... last time."
  • Agent Smith has a new quote: "Hmmm, it looks like we have a prying eye... I think we should pay our friend up there a visit."
  • The detective has new dialogue: “I've been told that the scientists have discovered the existance of a parallel universe. Whatever fate they came to, I have the strong feeling that the same will happen to oursif we don't stop Chris P. Bacon."
  • The confused officer says "He's Here..."
  • The scientists have been cloned and have new dialogue
    • Scientist #1:"Who are you, and how do you look exactly like us?! Wait... does this mean what I think it means?!?"
    • Clone #1:"We are you, but we're from a parallel universe. We don't know exactly what happened or how we got here, but there was a very evil person by the name of Chris P. Bacon who detonated a powerful bomb that wiped out our world. Somehow, just as the bomb was going off, everyone in our world was teleported out of it and we ended up here in yours."
    • Scientist 2:"That must be the same person who is doing reconstruction to the military base!!! We have to act quickly!"
    • Clone #2:"If we're correct, Chris P. Bacon is going to attempt to bring your world the same fate as he brought ours. We tried to stop him in ours, but we were too late."
    • Scientist #3:"Everything all makes sense now... the people, the meteors, the rifts... it's the remains from your world!! We have to stop him from destroying our world aswell!"
    • Clone #3:"We will do everything we can to help you protect your world."
  • Sixth note has been added:

Update Twenty-Seven: June 6th, 2023

  • Two rifts now have pink.
  • Criminal Base and circular structure in Area 51 construction are nearly done.
  • The truck with the bomb is so close the base entrance.
  • PiggyCorp agents have new dialogue
    • Agent #1:"We need to ensure that his plan remains on course."
    • Agent Smith:"Hmm... it seems that our prying eye has been keeping track of us We need to report this to Mr. Bacon as soon as possible."
    • Agent #3:"Mr. Bacon will not be pleased to hear about our friend."
  • The four construction workers have a new saying: "With the device arriving soon, my plan is nearing completion and the time remaining in this world is coming to an end. The Boss will be pleased to see the outcome once this is finished."
  • The detective has moved to the watchtower with a new quote:"I have confirmed that Chris. P Bacon is the one behind the military base and is using some form of mind control on those construction workers to build whatever device they are planning to put inside of that building."
  • The scientists and their clones have new dialogue
    • Scientist #1:"Wait, the meteors... They were emitting a purple glow not too long ago, what if the meteors are carrying whatever power source he's looking for? Maybe that's why they started appearing out of nowhere with the rifts... to guide them here."
    • Clone #1:"If he's trying to construct something capable of teleportation or time travel, he would need a large power source capable of powering such a device."
    • Scientist #2:"What if he's planning on being taken somewhere rather than traveling through time? Maybe a different place in our universe?"
    • Clone #2:"What could they possibly be building inside of the military base? It would have to be something pretty serious for them to do a complete takeover."
    • Scientist #3:"Before reconstruction began, there was an old small building there that hasn't been used for years. If I recall correctly, there was someone else equally as evil as Chris P. Bacon who took over the military base aswell, but failed in his plans. I wonder if what's inside the old building is still in use?"
    • Clone #3:"I would think they are doing something to tamper with space and time. It only makes sense with everything that has been going on."
  • The confused officer is nowhere to be seen but left a note

    "I had to leave before it was too late, I'm sorry I couldn't be of more use. I wish you the best of luck with whatever is to come. -Officer David"

Update Twenty-Eight: June 7th, 2023
  • The circular building is green with an interior. All notes near detective are inside and the truck is outside the building.
  • Criminal Base has garages building in the front.
  • The four construction workers have a new dialogue: "Do I have to answer that question for you? Make whoever is spying on us disappear. I will not risk anything that could potentially delay my plans."
  • Agent Smith has a new quote: "Sir, it seems that we have someone who is keeping an eye on us, what would you like us to do about the situation?"
  • The Detective has a new quote:"So what can we do to stop Chris P. Bacon?"
  • The scientists and clones have new dialogue
    • Scientist #1: "We are trying to hypothesise a way to stabilise the rifts and see if they can be any use to us. Surely they can assist us in some way."
    • Clone #1: "If we can manage to find a way to stabilise those rifts, we may be able to find a way to stop Chris P. Bacon and his plans!"
    • Scientist #2: "We will need to construct a device where we can safely mount these rifts for further testing."
    • Clone #2:" With the device, we will be able to study and run tests on these rifts to see if we can manipulate them in any way."
    • Scientist #3: "We're hoping that these rifts can lead us somewhere, maybe some place that can take us to wherever he plans on constructing his bomb."
    • Clone #3: "We are not too sure if this will work since this is all hypothetical at the moment, but this”

Update Twenty-Nine: June 9th, 2023

  • Criminal Base and the teleporter continue their construction.
  • The rift analyzer is being built at the watchtower.
  • Two more fractures are added.
  • Dialogue changes.

Update Thirty: June 12th, 2023

  • Construction continues on the Criminal Base and the teleporter.
  • More meteors have been added.
  • Development continues on the rift analyzer.
  • Blue Rifts have been added .These rifts appear rarely and teleport players to one of two possible locations.
    • One is a small building with five notes
    • The other one is a small building with Cluck Daddy and D3F4ULT0S with notes dating back to Season 4 release date.
  • Dialogue changes.

Update Thirty-One: June 13th, 2023

  • More fractures added.
  • Almost all NPCs were removed from the teleporter.
  • Dialogue changes at the watchtower.
  • Blue Rifts have a new location to teleport to.
    • A building with four notes
  • The wall separating the Criminal Base was erased.

Update Thirty-Four: June 23rd, 2023

  • New daily rewards have been added. The Bruin is no longer available.
  • The Web Slinger has been added.
  • New Piggy Shop items have been added
  • 2x Meteor Weekend

Update Thirty-Five: July 13th, 2023

  • The Raptor has been added. Located on the Aircraft Carrier.
  • The Blackout and X-10 have been added to the Piggy Shop.
  • New plane physics. Players have the option of having basic or advanced physics.
  • X2 Meteors has been added again.
  • An unintentional bug in the update making the coins and Piglets attack from Chris P. Bacon no longer cause damage to the players.
    • This bug also exist to the homing missiles fired by the Cargo Ship. It takes damage only to the criminals' vehicles trying to take down the ship's engines, but not on the player.

Update Thirty-Six: July 16th, 2023

  • Bug fix from the last update where the Piglets, coin attacks by the Chris P. Bacon, and the Cargo Ship's missiles no longer cause damage to the players. Also new bugs in the game:
    • However, players with Body Armor on the Chris P. Bacon boss fight can still take damages by the Piglets and coin to them, but not on the armor. The armor's damage take effect only on the Boss' laser attacks.
    • The Casino heist where the lasers and the red camera lights don't take damage to the Criminals, except on the moving lights back and forth in the Green Keycard secret rooms.
    • AWP is invisible when the player holds it.

Update Thirty-Seven: July 20th, 2023

  • P1-G1 added a 3-minute spawn cooldown.
  • Vehicle buffs on the three new vehicles added to the game:
    • The Blackout now has its Advanced flight mode working. It allows it to go really fast and allows the pilot to maneuver as accurately as they please.
    • The X-10 now has its Basic flight mode working. This allows the pilot to fly it just like any other jet/plane previously added to the game.
    • The Raptor now has a cloak ability (R) just like the Blackout.
  • Added Fixing Zones marker on City Gas Station, Cityside Gas Station, and Aircraft Carrier.

Update Forty-One: August 11th, 2023

  • 2x Coins and 2x Meteors Weekend is activated again.
  • Adversary model and sound revamp. It is on limited on-sale for a week for 500,000.
    • Owners of the said vehicle will get the revamp for free.
  • Enhanced graphics, such as Shadowing and Water Caustics, These features can be turned off to optimize the gameplay for lower-end devices.
  • Reset clothing NPC will now match player's Roblox avatar outfit.
  • Player's character will now lean out of the car window to shoot more smoothly than ever before.
  • Heist music can be turned off, if the Streamer mode is enabled.
  • Dominator now has passenger seats.
  • Jewelry Store: Heist tips, and highlights added to the heist.
  • Revamped hero outfit. Feminine versions will came out in the future update.
  • Casino heist text was changed: From "Get to the vault room before the time runs out" to "Get to the vault Room!"
  • Two new 75,000 codes and one 25,000 code were added.

  • The Obliterator has been added in Area 51 for 5,300,000.

Trivia[]

  • This is the second longest season of Chapter 2 and third-longest season overall.
  • This is the first winter themed season of Chapter 2. It’s the second winter themed season overall behind Season 5.
  • This is the second season to introduce three emotes. The first one being Season 3.
  • The Odyssey can be seen with the Odyssey Car Skin equipped in the seasons menu.
  • There are a few issues and typos with some of the season rewards.
    • The Frosted Winds vehicle skin is displayed as the Glacierwave vehicle skin which was obtainable via crates.
    • The Pengu Topper is displayed as the Shutter Rims from Season 1.
    • The Purple Void Snow Boost was initially broken and was unable to be equipped upon release, until it was fixed in a later update. Its name is however displayed as "Void Snow" instead of "Purple Void Snow".
