Vehicle Radio was a game pass that allowed the user to play audio IDs from their vehicle. It could be purchased for 200 on the Roblox website, on the in-game Phone in the Cash app, or by attempting to use the radio without possession of the game pass.
With the release of Chapter 2, Vehicle Radio is now a feature within the game with presets of radio stations rather than a game pass, while owners of the pass were compensated[1] either + 24,000 XP or $125,000 in-game cash.[2]
Feature
The audio only extends to a small radius around the vehicle, and players can also mute vehicle radios for themselves entirely by turning the option off in the Phone.
As a game pass
Upon purchasing the game pass, the radio feature was unlocked in vehicles. When this feature is toggled, it would allow the player to input any audio ID they would like from the Roblox audio library and click the play button to hear it.
Removal
After some changes in using audio by Roblox on March 22nd, 2022, and on the same date where the game was exactly updated,[3] this game pass went off-sale. Players who had the gamepass after the update could still use it, but audios over 6 seconds would not work.
Trivia
- It was the second-cheapest game pass in the game along with Emote Pack 1 and Emote Pack 2, only surpassed by Pet Plus.
- When this game pass went off-sale after the audio changes done by Roblox on March 22nd, 2022, Schwifty Studio has further plans to make the radio free to everyone with a preset list of music.[4]
