Vehicle Customization[]

Main article: Vehicle Customization

Garages and the Mobile Customization game pass can be used to customize vehicles with owned skins and upgrades. Boats, aerial vehicles, and certain land vehicles cannot be upgraded and can only be customized by changing cosmetics.

When vehicles are spawned they will have the default customization options (a white skin, default rims, etc.) until customized using a garage.

Vehicle Durability[]

Upon the release of Chapter 2, all vehicles have been given their own set of health.

There are multiple ways to damage a vehicle, from punching it, shooting at it with a weapon, driving it straight into water or lava, or by using a weaponized vehicle.

Once a vehicle has reached its critical health amount (also referred to as "Smoking Health"), it will begin to smoke rapidly before it eventually explodes. The destroyed vehicle's texture will be replaced by a rusted metal texture and can no longer be entered.

Nitro[]

Nitro is a consumable speed boost that can be used on all land vehicles to give them a boost in speed so long as the key or button is held and nitro remains. As of the February 1st, 2020 update, almost all land vehicles will regenerate nitro. Vehicles that regenerate nitro will automatically have maximum nitro when spawned via the Phone. Nitro can also be replenished at nearby gas stations. Nitro can also have a special color or pattern that can be earned or bought.

Trivia[]

  • Players can shoot out of all vehicles except the Reaper, Cruiser,SWAT, Night Rider, Rhino, Monster Truck, O66-Terminator, Light Bike, Rocket Sled, Hyper Glider, Commutator, Compound, and all aerial vehicles (excluding the Comet). The spread is considerably wider when firing out of a car.
  • Players cannot be shot by ranged weapons while in most vehicles unless they aim out the window with a weapon.
  • Players are able to use emotes in vehicles, except when they sit in the pilot or driver's seat of the Buzzard, Cobra, Falcon, Warhawk, Nighthawk, and Cyber Plane.
  • Prior to the release of Chapter 2, helicopter type vehicles had a rope that other players could hold on to.
  • The StairCar and JewelryVehicle are the only vehicles that cannot be spawned via the phone.
